Have faith, have hope .....serve others on the way.

Well, it’s been a while since I last wrote in our blog. So what have we been up to?!

Wow! We are here in the last week of August. Time sure seems to disappear at times.

Well, we celebrated our daughter seventh birthday on Friday May 25 with a party. It was a blast! I’m glad a few friends from school came by, because we sent the invitations the same day, oops! Since her birthday is on memorial weekend, sometimes we’re not sure if we will make any last minute plans for Memorial Day. And on her real birthday May 26, we went for a family picnic and  played some baseball. We celebrated her birthday for the whole weekend so I know she liked that very much and will remember it.

In June, our oldest daughter turned nine. I can hardly believe it!! Nine wow!! I am getting old ;)  Anyway, we got to be in Mexico for her birthday. She had been asking for so long to have a birthday at gradmas' house. Daddy dropped us off down in Mexico for the summer but was able to stay there to celebrate her birthday. We had a Mexican party with a piñata and rented a bouncy house. It was a blast! All of my mothers family were able to attend the party so it was like a family reunion. It was great to see everybody.

We enjoyed our summer very much with my mother and siblings. We did a lot of fun things like going to the circus, water parks, the zoo, movies, carnivals, ect.... We talked until morning and played games all night

The kids were even able to understand and speak Spanish a little bit better. I think it helped that we had the missionaries coming twice a week and the kids were able to read the book of Mormon in Spanish for them :) I am very glad we had the opportunity to go for so many days. We needed that time and I am glad that I could be there for my mother when she needed me and I’m glad she has decided to go back to church. I am so happy for her.

We also made a few trips to the ER,  nothing serious! But scary. =(

We have an offer to go to Aviano, Italy to work and live. A little disappointed about that but sometimes things aren't how we want and God always has a better plan for us. The cost of living in Maryland is very high so we have been trying to find a job somewhere else for a while.

Anyway, right after Gordon was offered the new job in Italy, I got an e-mail from a colleague of Dr. Wolff telling me that she is going back to Germany and gave us the information for the research center there just in case if we ever return to Europe. Isn’t that great! Dr Wolff and his colleagues are supposed to be the best for the kind of cancer that Kamillah was diagnosed with.

Also, after we came home went to the beach a few times, visited some of the  museums in the area, the zoo, etc... Finally the kids are going back to school tomorrow ! Happy for them =) They are very excited about it. I still can’t believe this year that I have a second grader and a fourth grader.=( I want them to grow slower. =)

Well, I think we all had a great summer! We are just enjoying life to the fullest with our precious kids. We don't take anything from granted because we know life could change with a blink of an eye. Nothing is set in stone, so enjoy life to the fullest. Don’t worry about little things or stupid stuff…there is so much to be grateful for!

Please, keep praying for our precious and sweet Angel and for all the kiddos with cancer. Thanks!
