Making a blog is harder than it looks; I thought we had one….. Now I can’t sign in, anyway here we go again.

For the last two years we have been living in Europe, Gordon deployed to Ramstein AB working for the C-17 stage. On May 2008, the family joined him. We arrived in Frankfurt on June 24, Kim’s Birthday. It was a long flight but the girls did really well. Gordon was so excited to show us Germany and France since he had been all over the world thanks to the Military now we have the opportunity to travel together, awesome! On Sep 11 2008 we add a new member to our beautiful family, our handsome boy born at Landstuhl, Germany. We lived in Rheinland Pfalz until June 26 2009. Gordon got hired to work for the Army starting in May and it was a great blessing to us since his job in Germany was done and because the company he worked at the time in the states BNSF was cutting jobs. First time ever to work with the Army was quite a change, especially when he doesn’t get to play golf :). After a great year in Germany and traveling to all of the beautiful castles and having picnics at them, I think one of the things we all miss of Germany is going to the fields and picking blumen. Also, the markets in Germany are great compared to the ones in Italy and the food is so yummy it makes me miss them more writing about it…. Well, we are living in Italy now, in a little town named Bosco di Nanto. It is 18 Km to Vicenza. Nanto is a really small town with a population just over 2500 located in the Colli Berici hills. When the area is cloaked in mist, the sunny hills’ emerge, almost floating in the sky and creating a dream world of vineyards and woods. The view from our balcony is gorgeous. The lake fimon is nearby so we can walk to it but it is a long walk. Nanto is full of art and history when the town first started about 1023 AD. It has beautiful Venetian Villas all over the area. Art is hinted by the famous yellow stone quarries, dug out of the Colli Berci hills and used for centuries for many buildings and sculptures, way back from the XV century so you can appreciate art everywhere you look. All around our town are statues made of that stone. You truly know you are in the old world, just thought I would let everyone know a little about our city and since we love Art and History we will be writing a lot about it since there is so much to share and see.
We love living in Italy, it has been a great experience and is so fun going to see cool places for free, yes free! Just a camera in hand is all we need.
